The Allen-Bradley 1734-AENT EtherNet/IP Twisted Pair Media I/O Adapter 24V DC is a communication module that encapsulates EtherNet/IP messages within the standard TCP/UDP/IP protocol. It has a common application layer with ControlNet & DeviceNet networks, and can be interfaced via Category 5 rated TP cable. The module supports half/full duplex 10Mbit or 100Mbit communication, and can be mounted on a DIN rail. It can communicate with other POINT I/O modules on the same DIN rail, and is supported by RSLinx software. The IP address can be assigned via standard BootP or DHCP tools, and I/O configuration can be done via RSLogix 5000. The module supports connections from multiple controllers simultaneously.
